Well the fiahing happened a couple of weeks ago, there were some fish caught, a 6yo had hia first yak fishing experience......the trip report is still coming unofrtunately.

G'day all, I've very recently gotten back paddling the kayak & fishing after a few years off due to injuries & work commitments. I got out a few days before Xmas & again on New Years Day, got a big squid on first trip & only got exercise on second trip (which is hard but am enjoying almost as much as catching fish).

I look forward to more time on the water and on this forum of course.

Hmmmm I have been overseas for the last three years... so have not been on the yak in about four years.....

I do long to get back into it, on return to Australia....... although we are looking at at least one to two years for that to happen.....

I echo the thoughts, IMHO Forums are better than FB... I do notice TYS is the last forum standing, with KFDU gone, and I don't really count AKFF any more.....

I do read a bit, but the lack of ability to get on a yak diminishes my interactions... I don't really have much to contribute at the moment.

I never followed any other kayak fishing forum so didn’t know this was the last one standing. I find myself referring to other forums when I’m looking for info on other interests, such as motorcycling, and can see why AKFF went the way it did, a wealth of knowledge there to attract and direct traffic.

I rarely visit here as I don’t fish much any more. Even if I did, I think my level of sharing would be greatly reduced anyway, particularly with giving information on myself or locations. I’d think nothing of posting fishing photos of myself (fishing locations were always bullshit) but it was no secret where I lived. I’m much more guarded nowadays.
